Layout properties affect the overall arrangement of elements that may belong to different classes of functionality within the UI solution or within a fragment providing a complex view. This is of special importance when multiple similar representations are to be provided which may be adequate due to the concept of the visual momentum. Also users may recognize the UI structure independently from the individual content and, thus, may be able to learn the UI structure faster. Providing such properties either enables the arrangement of elements within the general view structure and ensures the recursive homogenity of the UI structure, if any superordinate UI fragment defines a general layout.
