The information domain deals with the application of meaning to units of data, the processing, representation, and storage of data and units of information as well as gaining, representing, and inferring knowledge. In future, this domain should be subdevided further in order to more specifically specify the information task to be solved or the way of processing, if this cannot be characterized by use of another domain, as for example from the infrastructure domain.
